Welcome to Pfunanane Academy,

As a private English-medium Christian school with reasonable school fees, we fill a gap in our area for affordable quality education.  As parents are more and more realizing the importance of a solid foundation in their child's learning experience, what we offer is in demand. For 2024, there are limited spaces, however, sometimes space opens up after the first few weeks of school. Please call our offices to inquire about space for your child - we recommend applying several months in advance, as all grades are usually full by August.  

We require all incoming children above Grade R level to take entrance tests, as we must maintain the high standard that is set by our current students.  Ideally, each child should start at Pfunanane in Grade PR or R, so that they can get a grasp on the English language along with reading, writing, and maths basics before moving on to the more challenging levels of Grade 1-7.
