Grade Pr and R Uniform Policy

Our Grade R and PR students wear uniforms to make it easier on you as a parent, and to keep them looking neat and tidy in clothes that are functional for school and play.  The uniform policy for the R’s and PR’s is much more relaxed than for the older children – however as they are representing Pfunanane, we still have some rules regarding what they wear to school.

On a daily basis, the grade R’s and PR’s should wear:

  • Navy blue school golf shirt

  • Navy blue shorts or pants

  • Navy blue jerseys, jackets, or drimacs

  • Any tackies or school shoes

  • Navy blue or white socks

Additonal Information:

  • Pfunanane jerseys, pullovers, and tracksuits are available in grade PR and R sizes if parents wish to buy them

  • Please ensure that all clothing is solid navy blue – no designs, writing, pictures, stripes, etc.

  • Shoes should be good for running and playing – no sandals, dressy shoes for girls, or flip-flops.

  • Other than the golf shirt, the clothes can be purchased from outside sources (Pep, Jet, Ackermans, Woolworths, etc.) as long as they are solid navy blue.

  • Girls’ hair should be neatly braided or pulled back from their face. No wigs or weaves please.

  • Items such as gloves, beanies, and scarves should be plain navy blue.

  • Girls may wear small stud or hoop earrings – no other jewellery is allowed.

  • Ropes or strings around the waist, neck, wrists or ankles are not allowed, and these will be removed.

  • No long sleeved shirts may be worn under the golf shirt – wear a jersey over instead.

  • No jeans, please.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US TO MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD LOOKS AND FEELS THEIR BEST!
